‘The Flash’: Release Date, Cast, Plot, and Everything We Know so Far

Cast of The Flash Movie 2023

After so many delays finally The Flash making it’s way to big screen. This will be the first movie of The Flash since DC started building their own universe. The Flash television series has been running on our TV screen for almost a decade and as Grant Gustin steps away from the role, Ezra Miller will continue the legacy of the fastest man alive.

The Flash Movie Basic Plot

The Flash travels back in the time to prevent the murder of his mother for which his father falsely imprisoned but causes changes in timeline that result in the creation of a multiverse. The film is based on the iconic Flashpoint event from DC Comics, where Flash meets new versions of Batman and Superman as he strives to prevent the multiverse from collapsing.

The Flash Movie Cast

Ezra Miller returns to his role as Barry Allen/Flash, alongside Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as Faora, and two distinct Dark Knights—Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton as their universes’ respective Batman. And given the multiversal aspect of this movie, we do expect some surprise cameos. Perhaps Grant Gustin might appear!

The Flash Movie Release Date

The Flash comes speeding into cinemas from Friday, 16 June, having been moved up a week from its 23 June release date. The change, we assume, is to avoid competing too heavily with James Mangold’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny which comes out on 30 June.

The Flash Movie Runtime

The official runtime has been given as 2 hours and 30 minutes, but given the plot is all about time-bending and offering the return of some previous franchise baddies and new threats, perhaps that’s to be expected.
